Glucose regulation

A small trial in people with type 2 diabetes found changes in fasting glucose and some secondary measures with THCV, while the primary HDL-cholesterol outcome did not improve. These exploratory findings do not establish THCV as a diabetes treatment or a reason to change medication.

Food-reward & brain-network research

Small studies measured changes in responses to food and resting brain connectivity. They did not establish meaningful weight loss or reliable appetite suppression in everyday use.

Open the field notes

THCV means tetrahydrocannabivarin. It is a distinct cannabinoid, not another spelling of CBD or delta-9 THC. A short name on the front of a bottle is a beginning for questions, rather than a complete description of the formula.

On the apothecary shelf

Look for a clearly stated THCV amount and the complete cannabinoid profile. The Other Path does not sell recreational THC products; when avoiding THC is important, check the actual batch results rather than relying on a product's nickname or a broad hemp description.

Follow the scholarship behind the curiosity. These peer-reviewed papers examine specific ingredients or preparations—not TOP products. Human trials, research reviews, and preclinical studies answer different questions. A link is not a promise of benefit or a recommendation to treat a condition.
